Volleyball Game Preview: William Penn Colonials vs. Middletown Cavaliers

William Penn is on a seven-game streak of home wins, while Middletown is on a six-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Colonials will host the Cavaliers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

William Penn is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Delaware's top teams: Delmarva Christian, who was ranked 17th at the time (William Penn was ranked seventh). The Colonials came out on top against the Royals by a score of 3-1 on Friday.

Meanwhile, Middletown was able to grind out a solid victory over Delcastle Technical on Wednesday, taking the game 3-1.

William Penn has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. As for Middletown, their win bumped their record up to 10-5.

William Penn skirted past Middletown 3-2 in their previous meeting back in April. Will the Colonials repeat their success, or do the Cavaliers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
