Softball Recap: Wellington-Napoleon Takes a Loss

Wellington-Napoleon fell victim to Concordia and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Fighting Orioles, falling 15-0. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Fighting Orioles: they've now lost five in a row.

Wellington-Napoleon's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Concordia, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wellington-Napoleon will challenge Kingsville at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Concordia, they will square off against Santa Fe at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Chiefs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.67 runs per game on average), something the Fighting Orioles will no doubt try to take advantage of.
