Softball Recap: Burke County Bears vs. Josey Eagles
Burke County waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They never let the Josey Eagles onto the board and left with a 12-0 victory. The Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by six runs or more this season.
Burke County got a massive performance out of Malia Washington, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-2. Maddox Russell was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.
Burke County has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a massive bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Josey, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.
