Basketball Game Preview: Douglas Eagles vs. Plainview Bears

Having just played yesterday, the Douglas Eagles will jump right back in to play the Plainview Bears at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Douglas is headed into the game having just suffered their biggest loss since November 22nd on Friday. They came up short against Section, falling 59-39. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 209th, while the Lions are ranked 75th).

Meanwhile, Plainview waltzed into their contest on Friday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They walked away with a 54-47 victory over the Red Raiders. That's two games straight that the Bears have won by exactly seven points.

Plainview's win bumped their record up to 14-4. As for Douglas, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-8.

Douglas skirted past Plainview 62-60 when the teams last played back in January of 2015. Does Douglas have another victory up their sleeve, or will Plainview turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
