Baseball Recap: Duchesne Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Duchesne dropped their record down to 25-10 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's six-game streak of wins at home. They came up short against the MICDS Rams, falling 8-2. The Pioneers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Rams earlier this season, when they won 4-0.

As for MICDS, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 16 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 contests by six runs or more this season.

For MICDS' part, Brian Gould made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over six innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Gould has posted since back in April. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Dunnen McGaughey, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high.

As of now, neither Duchesne nor MICDS have any future games scheduled.
