Softball Recap: Cassopolis Rangers vs. Decatur Raiders
Cassopolis had lost four straight on the road, but on Monday they dropped their record down to 3-6 to make it five. They lost 18-7 to the Decatur Raiders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-3 on Monday.
As for Decatur, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-8 record this season. The result was nothing new for Decatur, who have now won ten matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.
For Decatur's part, Sienna Potter and Jenna Bradford did most of the damage at the plate: Potter got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and four RBI, while Bradford went 3-for-5 with five RBI, three runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave Bradford a new career-high. MiKayla Dierickx was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs and two RBI.
