Baseball Recap: North Royalton Comes Up Short

North Royalton and Hudson squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but North Royalton had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Explorers by a score of 3-2. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Bears couldn't push the score so high this time.

North Royalton saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jake Paluczak, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

North Royalton's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-12. As for Hudson, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season.

North Royalton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hudson, they will square off against Clay at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Explorers surely won't give up without a fight.
