Basketball Recap: Angeline Academy of Innovation Takes a Loss

Angeline Academy of Innovation was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were dealt a 50-7 defeat at the hands of the Classical Prep Lions. The Archers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 30-1.

Ruthie Katkom was Angeline Academy of Innovation's leading scorer, having posted three points. Kyandra Valle held things down on the boards with six rebounds.

Mia Milanes was nothing short of spectacular for Classical Prep: she dropped a double-double on 21 points and 13 rebounds. Those 21 points gave Milanes a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Haley Zimmerman, who posted eight points and four steals.

Angeline Academy of Innovation's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Classical Prep, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-3.

Angeline Academy of Innovation wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 46-8 defeat against Hudson on the 12th. As for Classical Prep, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 60-19 loss against Fivay on the 10th.
