Basketball Game Preview: Dublin Coffman Shamrocks vs. Upper Arlington Golden Bears

The Dublin Coffman Shamrocks will square off against the Upper Arlington Golden Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Last Tuesday, Dublin Coffman ended up a good deal behind Olentangy Liberty and lost 64-49. While losing is never fun, the Shamrocks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 132nd, while the Patriots are ranked 15th).

Meanwhile, Upper Arlington had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.3 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Sunday. They rang in the new year with a 58-51 victory over the Lancers.

Upper Arlington's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Dublin Coffman, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.

Everything came up roses for Dublin Coffman against Upper Arlington in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, as the team secured a 58-28 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Dublin Coffman since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
