Soccer Game Preview: Brookwood vs. Frederica Academy

Brookwood hasn't had much luck against Frederica Academy recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Warriors are taking a road trip to square off against Frederica Academy at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, Brookwood beat Valwood 3-1.

Klaire Von Hellens and Sara Cameron Sullivan scored all three of the Warriors' goals, bringing their combined season tally to 15 goals.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Frederica Academy). Their defense stepped up to hand Valwood a 10-0 shutout on Thursday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for Frederica Academy considering their one-goal performance the contest before.

The win was the third in a row for Frederica Academy, bringing their record up to 11-4-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 19 goals over those three games. As for Brookwood, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Brookwood might still be hurting after the 6-1 loss they got from Frederica Academy when the teams last played back in March. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Warriors were down 4-0.
