Baseball Game Preview: Gila Ridge Hawks vs. San Luis Sidewinders

For the second straight game, Gila Ridge will face off against San Luis. The Hawks will square off against the Sidewinders at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Gila Ridge has struggled recently with seven losses in a row, while San Luis will arrive with three straight wins.

Gila Ridge came up short against San Luis on Tuesday, falling 15-7.

For San Luis' part, Cesar Chavira was incredible, going 2-for-3 with five RBI and one double. Those five RBI gave Chavira a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jesus Buzani, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

San Luis always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .523. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

San Luis now has a winning record of 13-12. As for Gila Ridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-20.
