Baseball Recap: Ganado Wins Going Away Against Hopi

Ganado's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They blew past the Hopi Bruins 9-2. The victory continues a trend for the Hornets in their matchups with the Bruins: they've now won nine in a row.

Dante Curtis was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing seven bases while going 4-for-4. He has become a key player for Ganado: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 3-7 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Mescal, who scored two runs and stole five bases while getting on base in four of his seven plate appearances.

The win got Ganado back to even at 7-7. As for Hopi, they dropped their record down to 3-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Ganado beat the Bruins by a score of 3-1 later that day.
