Football Game Preview: Bigelow Panthers vs. Mount Ida Lions

The Bigelow Panthers will face off against the Mount Ida Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bigelow has given up an average of 39.3 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 47-14, which was the final score in Bigelow's tilt against Mountainburg on Friday.

Meanwhile, Mount Ida waltzed into their matchup on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They really took it to the Wildcats for the full four quarters, racking up a 49-6 win. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-6.

Bigelow's loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Mount Ida, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1.

Bigelow strolled past Mount Ida in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a score of 35-21. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lions turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
