Baseball Game Preview: Lathrop Mules vs. South Harrison Bulldogs

The Lathrop Mules will challenge the South Harrison Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. South Harrison took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Lathrop, who comes in off a win.

Lathrop came out on top against Cameron on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fourth inning. The Mules took their match against the Dragons 7-2. The win continues a trend for the Mules in their matchups with the Dragons: they've now won five in a row.

Meanwhile, South Harrison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Braymer. That's two games in a row now that the Bulldogs have lost by exactly four runs.

Jett Cornett was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Lathrop now has a winning record of 12-11. As for South Harrison, their loss dropped their record down to 7-13.

Lathrop was able to grind out a solid victory over South Harrison when the teams last played on Thursday, winning 9-5. Will the Mules repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
