It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but South Hills had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They had just enough and edged the Alta Loma Braves out 3-2. For the Huskies, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 win the Braves walked away with the last time they faced one another on October 4th.

South Hills was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (105-98), but they still managed to win. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-19, 14-25, 19-25, 15-13.

Leading South Hills to victory were Sam Martinez and Jaselle Mendoza. Martinez had 18 digs and two aces, while Mendoza had 19 digs. Martinez is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in the last four games she's played.

South Hills was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September.

The victory got South Hills back to even at 12-12. As for Alta Loma, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-14.
