Gunter is a perfect 10-0 against Pottsboro since October of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Tigers will venture away from home to face off against the Cardinals at 4:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Gunter has six straight wins, Pottsboro has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

It was a proper cat-fight when Gunter challenged Bells on Tuesday. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Panthers.

Gunter never let Bells on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-14, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Pottsboro came up short against Blue Ridge on Tuesday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Cardinals have suffered against the Tigers since October 12, 2021.

While Pottsboro was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Blue Ridge's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-15, 25-21.

Gunter's victory bumped their record up to 21-11. As for Pottsboro, their loss dropped their record down to 10-14.

Everything went Gunter's way against Pottsboro in their previous meeting back in September, as Gunter made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
