Softball Recap: New Oxford Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for New Oxford's offense. They lost 10-0 to the Red Lion Lions on Monday. Having soared to a lofty 17 runs in the game before, the Colonials' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

The defeat snapped New Oxford's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-4 record. As for Red Lion, their record is now an identical 7-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. New Oxford will face off against Biglerville at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Red Lion, they will challenge William Penn at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bearcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.5 runs per game on average), something the Lions will no doubt try to take advantage of.
