Basketball Recap: Central Catholic Comes Up Short

Central Catholic was the 56-37 winner over Jeanerette when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Central Catholic Eagles fell to the Jeanerette Tigers 51-47.

Central Catholic's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 17-16. As for Jeanerette, their win bumped their record up to 8-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central Catholic will welcome Covenant Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jeanerette, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hanson Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Jeanerette is facing Hanson Memorial at the right time seeing as Hanson Memorial is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
