Volleyball Recap: Liberty Comes Up Short

Liberty lost against Falcon back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Lancers came up short against the Falcons, falling 3-0. The Lancers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Liberty was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-23, 25-19.

Adaleigh Winterhalter paced Liberty's offense, picking up ten kills. Winterhalter got some help from Alyssa Willcox and her 18 assists. Winterhalter was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Liberty's loss dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Falcon, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-6.

Coming up, Liberty will face off against Grand Junction Central at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Falcon does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
