Baseball Recap: Palmdale Comes Up Short

Palmdale fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Littlerock on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Lobos by a score of 7-6. The Falcons haven't had much luck with the Lobos recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Kaleb Garcia and Matthew Gibbons did some serious damage despite the final result: Garcia went 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base, while Gibbons went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Gibbons has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. David Morales was another key player, going 1-for-4 with three RBI.

Palmdale's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Littlerock, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-10-1.

While Palmdale had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.
