Baseball Recap: Fairfield Prep Falls Short of South Windsor in the Playoffs

Fairfield Prep and South Windsor squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Fairfield Prep had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Bobcats by a score of 3-2. The Jesuits were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bobcats from their previous meeting back in May of 2019.

Fairfield Prep saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cooper Rotondo, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Fairfield Prep's loss dropped their record down to 18-11. As for South Windsor, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.

As of now, neither Fairfield Prep nor South Windsor have any future games scheduled.
