Preview: Cromwell Panthers vs. Haddam-Killingworth Cougars
Cromwell is 10-0 against Haddam-Killingworth since January of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Cromwell Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Haddam-Killingworth Cougars at 7:00 p.m. Cromwell has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,029 points over their last 15 games.
Cromwell can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They put the hurt on East Hampton with a sharp 78-56 win. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Meanwhile, Haddam-Killingworth entered their tilt with Valley Regional with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Haddam-Killingworth walked away with a 61-53 win over Valley Regional on Friday.
Cromwell pushed their record up to 15-2 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.7 points per game. As for Haddam-Killingworth, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.
Cromwell strolled past Haddam-Killingworth in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 70-51. Does Cromwell have another victory up their sleeve, or will Haddam-Killingworth turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
