Softball Game Preview: Carrizo Springs Wildcats vs. Jefferson Mustangs

The Carrizo Springs Wildcats will venture away from home to take on the Jefferson Mustangs at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Carrizo Springs is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.

Carrizo Springs saw some tournament action on Friday. They fell just short of Randolph by a score of 9-8.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Jefferson's offense. They fell 3-0 to Somerset on Thursday.

Jefferson has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. Carrizo Springs' loss dropped their record down to 2-8.

Carrizo Springs took their win against Jefferson when the teams last played back in February of 2015 by a conclusive 19-2. Will Carrizo Springs repeat their success, or does Jefferson have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
