Basketball Recap: Wadena-Deer Creek Takes a Loss

Wadena-Deer Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 85-60 to the Park Rapids Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wolverines of the 63-47 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Park Rapids to victory, but perhaps none more so than Parker Hunter, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Carroll, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds.

Wadena-Deer Creek's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Park Rapids, their record now sits at 6-7.

Wadena-Deer Creek has already played their next game (against Sebeka), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Park Rapids didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 95-94 win against Staples-Motley on the 24th.
