Soccer Recap: Bayfield Takes a Loss

Bayfield had taken Pagosa Springs down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. The Wolverines fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 1-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Pagosa Springs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 two weeks ago.

Bayfield is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11. As for Pagosa Springs, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bayfield will welcome Ignacio at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bayfield are facing Ignacio at the right time seeing as Ignacio are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Pagosa Springs, they will look to defend their home pitch on Thursday against Del Norte at 4:00 p.m. Pagosa Springs will be up against Del Norte's rather soft defense (which has allowed 6.22 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
