Volleyball Recap: Madison Bulldogs vs. Garretson Blue Dragons
Madison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell just short of the Garretson Blue Dragons by a score of 3-2. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Blue Dragons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2023.
Madison actually scored more points across those five sets (112-103), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 20-25, 13-25, 25-22, 20-18.
Despite the defeat, Madison saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Calista Sahr had 12 digs.
Even though they lost, Madison was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. That's the most aces they've posted in their last nine matchups.
Madison's loss dropped their record down to 9-16. As for Garretson, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a massive bump to their 15-9 record this season.

As for Garretson, they will host Tri-Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tri-Valley is coming into the contest with seven straight defeats on the road, meaning Garretson will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory.
