Baseball Game Preview: Central Lancers vs. Shipley

Central is 0-5 against Shipley since April of 2016 but things could change on Saturday. The Lancers will challenge Shipley at 12:00 p.m. Central has given up an average of 9 runs per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Central couldn't beat Lansdale Catholic on Thursday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fifth inning. The Lancers lost 18-8 to the Crusaders.

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Friday as neither Shipley nor Friends' Central made it on the board until the eighth inning. Shipley came out on top against Friends' Central by a score of 6-3. The win was familiar territory for Shipley, who have now won six contests in a row.

Shipley's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7.

Central might still be hurting after the 9-1 loss they got from Shipley when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Can the Lancers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
