The Las Lomas Knights will take on the Freedom Falcons in a tournament on Monday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Las Lomas proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by six) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Sonoma Valley 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Knights have posted since April 16, 2024.

Las Lomas got a great performance from Matthew Williams as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. What's more, Williams posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.
On the hitting side, Andrew Misasi was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. He has become a key player for Las Lomas: the team is 2-0-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 2-3 otherwise. Jack Foscalina was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-4.
Fans were treated to a battle of the Falcons on Tuesday. Freedom came out on top against College Park by a score of 4-1. The victory continues a trend for Freedom in their matchups with College Park: they've now won three in a row.
The team relied heavily on Landon Clenney, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Dylan DeLauter, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
Las Lomas has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. Freedom's record now sits at 5-3.
Las Lomas' speedy runners might be the difference in Monday's game. Las Lomas has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.5 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Freedom, though, as they've been averaging only 0.6 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Las Lomas continue to outrun the ball?
Las Lomas skirted past Freedom 5-4 when the teams last played back in March of 2022. Will Las Lomas repeat their success, or does Freedom has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
