Preview: East Orange Campus Jaguars vs. Central Blue Devils
East Orange Campus has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Central Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully East Orange Campus is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Blue Devils in New Jersey (the Jaguars are ranked 21st, while the Blue Devils are ranked 196th).
Last Tuesday, East Orange Campus ended up a good deal behind the Lions and lost 70-53.
Meanwhile, Central earned a 55-43 victory over the Red Raiders on Tuesday.
Central's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Malachi Thomas, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds, and Mejwad Dixon, who scored 18 points along with three steals. Malik Bass was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with two steals.
East Orange Campus' loss dropped their record down to 14-4. As for Central, they pushed their record up to 9-10 with that win, which was their third straight at home.
Everything came up roses for East Orange Campus against the Blue Devils in their previous matchup back in January as the squad secured a 59-29 win. Does East Orange Campus have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Blue Devils turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
