Crean Lutheran dropped their record down to 14-6 on Friday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 10-0 to the Yorba Linda Mustangs. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Saints have suffered since March 15th.

As for Yorba Linda, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-13. Yorba Linda's win was all the more impressive since Crean Lutheran was averaging only 3.4 runs allowed on the season.

For Yorba Linda's part, Troy Radomski tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over 5.2 innings pitched. Radomski also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because the Mustangs are 4-2 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 3-11 otherwise.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Thomas Knutson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. He is becoming a predictor of Yorba Linda's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 2-1 (and 5-12 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Joshua Garza, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI and one run.

Crean Lutheran didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 11-4 victory against Sonora on the 15th. As for Yorba Linda, they have also already played their next contest, a 7-2 defeat against Canyon on the 16th.
