Volleyball Recap: Hays Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Angela Huffman and Olivia Conway

Hays's tournament run continued when they took on Waller on Friday. The Hawks fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 2-1.

Hays' loss came despite strong showings from Olivia Conway and Angela Huffman. Conway had 14 digs and two aces, while Huffman had five digs and three aces.

Waller found their leader in sophomore Kristin Nichols, who had 18 digs and three assists. Those 18 digs set a new season-high mark for Nichols.

Hays' loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Waller, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Hays has already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Glenn on the 16th. As for Waller, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Brenham on the 16th.
