Basketball Game Preview: Pierre T.F. Riggs Governors vs. Roosevelt Rough Riders

The Pierre T.F. Riggs Governors will venture away from home to face off against the Roosevelt Rough Riders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Pierre T.F. Riggs is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Jefferson just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 70-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cavaliers.

Meanwhile, Roosevelt was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 53-48 to Aberdeen Central. The Rough Riders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Roosevelt's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Pierre T.F. Riggs, their loss dropped their record down to 11-8.

Everything came up roses for Pierre T.F. Riggs against Roosevelt in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, as the squad secured a 57-26 victory. Will Pierre T.F. Riggs repeat their success, or does Roosevelt have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
