League recap: Harris throws longest pass in league this season for Washington

Treon Harris and Nicholas Norris provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Edison. The connection was good for 54 yards, the longest such play in 4A District 8 this season.

Gulliver Prep and Monsignor Pace played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Gulliver Prep eventually emerging with a 21-20 victory.

Washington's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Harris threw for 201 and four touchdowns and Lamar Parker had 122 yards receiving. On the ground D'von Ballard chipped in 69 yards. Norris helped Washington's passing attack out by catching one ball for 54 yards.

Washington's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Tornadoes feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Harris has thrown for 960 yards and 12 touchdowns this season, while Parker has 20 catches for 320 yards. Ballard leads the league in rushing with 539 yards.

A big matchup in 4A District 8 this week will be when Doral Academy takes on the Red Raiders. The Firebirds are in fourth place, while Edison is in fifth place.

The Tornadoes took down Trevor Harris's team 53-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Harris ran for 37 yards in the win.
