Baseball Recap: Trimble County Comes Up Short

Trimble County couldn't beat Owen County on Tuesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fifth inning. The Raiders took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rebels. The Raiders have struggled against the Rebels recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

Dylan Penick made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played.

Trimble County's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Owen County, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season.

While Trimble County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
