Basketball Recap: Longwood Takes a Loss

Longwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 70-48 to Southland College Prep.

Longwood's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Southland College Prep, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Longwood will take on Brooks in a holiday battle at at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Southland College Prep and Excel Academy of South Shore will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Southland College Prep knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matches -- so hopefully Excel Academy of South Shore likes a good challenge.
