Baseball Recap: Tindley Takes a Loss

Tindley extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to nine on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 0-2 in the process. They came up short against the Purdue Polytechnic Techies, falling 15-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 26-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Tindley saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Justus Johnson, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

As for Purdue Polytechnic, they now have a winning record of 3-2. Considering they have won three contests by more than 12 runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

On Purdue Polytechnic's side, the team relied heavily on Kin Chow, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Vincent Samaro, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Tindley wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 15-5 win against Indianapolis Washington on the 17th. As for Purdue Polytechnic, they have also already played their next game, an 18-5 victory against Indianapolis Shortridge on the 17th.
