Volleyball Recap: Mapleton Comes Up Short

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Mapleton and Eddyville have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Thursday. The Sailors fell 3-1 to the Eagles. The Sailors have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Mapleton's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Eddyville, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.

Looking ahead, Mapleton will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Powers at 1:00 p.m. As for Eddyville, they will challenge Mohawk at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
