Frontier Academy had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Their defense stepped up to hand the Dawson School Mustangs a 1-0 shutout on Saturday. Frontier Academy's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last eight matches.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Dani Douglass, who's now up to five this season.

Frontier Academy's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those eight games. As for Dawson School, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-5-1.

Looking ahead, Frontier Academy will venture away from home to challenge Crested Butte at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Dawson School does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
