Basketball Recap: Mt. Zion Comes Up Short

Mt. Zion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They took a 60-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bowdon Red Devils. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 39-33 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Mt. Zion's loss dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Bowdon, the win got them back to even at 8-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mt. Zion will challenge Greenville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Greenville will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Mt. Zion surely won't give up without a fight. As for Bowdon, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Manchester at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Bowdon is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
