Softball Recap: Trenton Central Comes Up Short

Trenton Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 11-1 to the Lawrence Cardinals. If the Tornadoes were looking for revenge after losing 14-0 to the Cardinals when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Trenton Central saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Katiesha Alexis, who went 1-for-2 with one run. That hit was Alexis' first of the season.

Trenton Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Lawrence, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trenton Central will welcome LEAP Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lawrence, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Notre Dame at 4:00 p.m. The Irish's pitching crew has only allowed 2.2 runs per game this season, so the Cardinals' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
