Basketball Recap: Midland Classical Academy Picks Up Ninth Consecutive Victory

Midland Classical Academy came tearing into Tuesday's contest with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.1 points) and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Kingdom Prep Academy Warriors 60-8. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 26 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Addie Dunn, who went 9 of 20 en route to 19 points along with seven boards and seven steals. Her evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaleigh Sherrill, who posted nine points in addition to six boards and three steals.

Midland Classical Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Midland Classical Academy pushed their record up to 19-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 36.8 points. As for Kingdom Prep Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Midland Classical Academy will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Crane at 12:30 p.m. on December 31st. Midland Classical Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.6 points per game this season. Kingdom Prep Academy will also get a bit of a break before their next matchup: they'll face off against All Saints Episcopal School at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
