Colerain's defeat dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Lakota West, their win bumped their record up to 13-8.
Colerain's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Lakota West has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.5 hits per game. It's a different story for Colerain, though, as they've been averaging 10.1 hits. Given Lakota West's sizable advantage in that area, the Cardinals will need to find a way to close that gap.
