Volleyball Recap: Burroughs Beats Clayton for Their Fifth Straight Win

Burroughs waltzed into their matchup on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They put the hurt on the Clayton Greyhounds with a sharp 3-0 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Bombers have posted against the Greyhounds since October 23, 2020.

Burroughs was led to victory by Bailey Biggs and Mia Schactman. Biggs had 15 digs and two aces, while Schactman had six digs.

They weren't the only good servers: Burroughs was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 19 consecutive matches.

Burroughs' win bumped their record up to 16-7-1. As for Clayton, their loss dropped their record down to 14-11.

Coming up, Burroughs will square off against Parkway Central at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Clayton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
