Softball Preview: Clinton Gaels vs. Tyngsborough Tigers
For the first time this season, Clinton will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will host the Tyngsborough Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
On Monday, Clinton needed a bit of extra time to put away Millbury. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Woolies, sneaking past 12-11.
Leo Repole made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over eight innings while giving up eight earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. Repole was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs while going 4-for-5.
In other batting news, Lauren Lemanski was incredible, going a perfect 5-for-5 with four runs, four RBI, and two doubles. Eliana Vazquez was another key player, going 4-for-5 with four RBI and one double.
Meanwhile, Tyngsborough and Londonderry finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 draw on Monday.
