Softball Recap: Western Christian's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Western Christian's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Paloma Valley Wildcats 4-3. The Fighting Lancers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wildcats, too.

Saraiah Quiroz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on five hits.

At the plate, Western Christian's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Giada Partida, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Western Christian's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-8. As for Paloma Valley, their loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-4.

Looking ahead, Western Christian will host Muir at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Paloma Valley, they will take on Heritage at 3:15 p.m. on Monday.
