Basketball Recap: Powder Valley Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Grant Union, Powder Valley was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They pulled ahead with a 49-48 photo finish over the Elgin Huskies. That's more bragging rights for the Badgers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Powder Valley's victory bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Elgin, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

Powder Valley will have a chance to go back-to-back against Elgin: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
