Soccer Recap: Valley Forge Comes Up Short

Valley Forge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 7-2 to the Laurel Gators. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Valley Forge of the 6-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Claire Farson and Bella Dempsey scored both of Valley Forge's goals, bringing their combined season tally to three goals.

Valley Forge's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Laurel, they now have a winning record of 3-2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Valley Forge will square off against Cleveland Heights at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Valley Forge will be up against Cleveland Heights' rather soft defense (which has allowed three goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Laurel, they will face off against St. Vincent-St. Mary at 11:00 a.m. on the 13th.
