Basketball Recap: Alamosa Finds Playoff Glory Versus Kent Denver

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Alamosa walked away with it. They snuck past the Kent Denver Sun Devils with a 46-41 win on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mean Moose.

It was another big night for Morgan Ortega, who shot 67% from the field on her way to 17 points. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Aubrey Rothermich, who posted nine points and six rebounds.

Alamosa's victory bumped their record up to 19-6. As for Kent Denver, they moved to 14-11 with that defeat, which also ended their eight-game winning streak.

Alamosa wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 58-39 loss against Holy Family on the 12th. Kent Denver does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
