The Fighting Blues will head out on the road to take on the Green Waves at 5:00 p.m. Narrows took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Parry McCluer, who comes in off a win.

Parry McCluer was handed a ten-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy 10-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Fighting Blues have posted since May 3, 2024.

Meanwhile, Narrows was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 18th straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 14-13 heartbreaker at the hands of Bland County. Even if the Green Waves couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Narrows got a massive performance out of Braylee Robertson, who scored two runs and stole four bases while going 2-for-3. Kaycee Duncan was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 4-for-4.

Parry McCluer's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Narrows, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Everything went Parry McCluer's way against Narrows in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Parry McCluer made off with a 19-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Fighting Blues since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
