Soccer Recap: Greater Atlanta Christian's Undefeated Season over After 12 Games

After flying high against Pickens last Thursday, Greater Atlanta Christian came back down to earth. Greater Atlanta Christian came up short against the Lovett Lions on Tuesday, falling 5-1. The loss was Greater Atlanta Christian's first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Greater Atlanta Christian fell to 11-1. As for Lovett, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

Looking ahead, Greater Atlanta Christian will face off against Lumpkin County at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Greater Atlanta Christian will need to watch out since Lumpkin County has now posted at least four goals in their last three contests. As for Lovett, they will square off against Cambridge at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Lovett has won five straight at home, while Cambridge won five straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
